Hydraulic moving heads

In DT we have made hydraulic moving heads linked to our work on Manfish.

We experimented with pneumatics and hydraulics, looked a at a prototype and then designed our own moving head.

After making our designs we reflected on what new skills we had learnt. These included:

Using a glue gun
Using a glue tab
Selecting and organising our resources
Making a hydraulic system

We think they look fantastic

Junior Chef

We had a great session this afternoon with Junior Chef. We learnt how to chop, tear and snip...all whilst learning about the fruit and vegetables we were using to make a healthy rice salad. Yum!

Christmas Shoe Boxes

Our new topic in RE is Christian Charity. This morning we took part in a charitable event by preparing the shoe boxes for the Christmas appeal. Everyone at Wolverham had been so generous we were able to fill 54 boxes!!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Mrs Bond (who organises this in our school) and also all the children, parents and carers who kindly donated items.
