St Johns Ambulance

We were able to take part in a day of first aid training. We learnt so much and had the opportunity to test out our new skills! 












General Election 2017

Yesterday Year 6 learn about all aspects of the General Election. We found out what an election is, why this is a snap election, who can vote and we also looked at the manifestos for each party.

They then prepared power points to share with Year 5. Today, they presented they presented all the information. 

After a lively question time, we then held a mock election...votes will be counted and verified this evening! 



Urenco science workshop

Today we worked with 2 scientists to plan where would be the best place to locate a wind turbine, how much it would cost and the logistics of putting it in place. We also worked in groups to make a motorised wind turbine and tested which blades were most effective. 












Music workshop

We have had a great afternoon in Year 6! Mr Clark came into our class and we spent the afternoon looking at music through the years with a focus on war songs. We learnt morale boosting and anti-war songs then worked in groups to write and perform our own. Mr Clark was impressed with our musical talent!
