Grow a Fiver!

Year 6 were put into groups and had to come up with an idea for a stall that would help them to 'Grow a Fiver.' They had lots of great ideas!

With a business plan completed, spreadsheet of costs completed and advertising organised, the children went shopping with their loans.

Children then gave a presentation to each class and made sure their stalls were ready to go.
These are some photos from this week...there will also be another chance to come and visit the year 6 stalls on Wednesday after school.

Chester University Trip

This week we went to Chester University. We had a tour of the campus, watched a play about transition to High School and took part in a graduation ceremony.

Alison Lapper MBE

Today we began our new Art topic. We are going to be looking at and producing work in the style of Alison Lapper...a mouth painter.

After researching the artist and looking at, and evaluating, her artwork we had our first try at perfecting our mouth painting technique.

Summer half term holiday homework

International Day of Homophobia 17 May 2018

For homework over the holidays, I would like you to create something to share during our Monday assembly related to our discussions about IDAHO , mutual respect and equality for all. This could be a poster, powerpoint a factsheet or any of the other great ideas you came up with in class.

You may want to think about why this day is important or how to deal with HBT (Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic bullying). Why is equality important? These are all things we have discussed in class and you all had so many ideas!
I also wondered if you were able to explain to an adult or older brother or sister at home what you have learnt about equality and LGBTQ.
These need to be brought in the first day back so that we can share them in assembly.

Some of the work that was produced was fantastic and Year 6 led an assembly for the rest of KS2!
