A big thumbs up!

A big thumbs up to our residential!

Certificate time!

To round off our week, we all received certificates to say well done for all the effort put in and attitude we have had! A fantastic week away!

Mini Olympics part 2

Mini Olympics Fun!

This morning we woke to sunshine which was a welcome relief after the torrential rain yesterday. Team 1 and 3 are taking part in a mini-Olympics against each other at the moment!

Zip wire

Despite the rain, we still enjoyed going down the zip wire!

And then it rained...

This afternoon, the heavens opened and we ended up soaking wet! Luckily, we were on sensory trail which means that we were getting soaked and dirty anyway! Enjoy the pictures!

Zip wire

The other year 5 group went up into the woods and did the zip wire! This is a new activity and is quite well hidden away amongst the trees so the ride down is quite exciting!

Mini Olympics

There was also a mixed group today of year 5 and 6 who took part in a mini Olympics activity. They got very, very wet but did work well as a team!

Archery

Team 1 set off this morning to do archery.  Unfortunately, we weren't too good at it and failed in a few of our attempts to even hit the board!

Breakfast in our PJs!!

Because we were down for the early breakfast a lot, we decided to come in our pyjamas! All the children had to be woken up at 7 when we went into their rooms! Bedheads are the new fashion! Hot waffles and syrup are on the menu!

Year 5 aerial trek!

Year 5 all got kitted out to do their high trek this afternoon. The equipment is about ten metres in the air and the children work their way through a series of challenges such as stepping stones and a tightrope. Great fun! Mrs Thorn also went up to help out!

Body Zorbing take two!

Team 2 from year 6 had the chance to do body zorbing today. Despite the sun, it was SUCH good fun. They played games like skittles and sumo wrestling and had the chance to do flips so they were upside down; some got stuck!!!

Sensory Trail

Earlier on today, year 5 went on a sensory trail! It involved using all of their 5 senses and an awful lot of mud!
