A visitor in RE

In RE, we have been learning about communion and the different ways this is celebrated in different churches. Guy Lister, a church leader, came in and talked to us about how they take communion in his church in Chester.

We also asked him lots of BIG questions about what he believed and enjoyed discussing our own thoughts afterwards.

Eclipse time!

Last Friday, we finished our assembly early so we could go and see the eclipse. We didn't want to damage our eyes so we created some pin-hole cameras using paper plates.
At first, it was a real challenge to see but then it worked! If you zoom in on our pictures, you can see the crescent shape well!!
Miss Ogden then used some glasses to take a picture of the sun. It looks amazing!

New book alert!

Our author of the month is Michael Morpurgo; we have read many of his books in class and are now starting new books in our guided reading sessions. I've been hooked on this book for group 1!

Pleaseeeeeee Miss Littler!

We have started to read a book called The Day The Crayons Quit and we love it! We decided as a class that we would write to Miss Littler to ask her if we were allowed to keep using the book till the end of the half term. We had to use lots of persuasive writing and techniques we learnt about from studying adverts. red group were fantastic at writing on the board for us!!!
