The Changing Role of Women

Today we finished our topic for Spring term...The Changing Role of Women.

We have LOVED it!

We have looked at women's roles throughout history starting from Ancient Egypt all the way to the present day (using both primary and secondary sources). Some of our favourite activities included:

*looking at etiquette rules from the 17th century

*writing a speech from a Suffragette's point of view

*learning about how women's role changed during the World Wars

*designing posters demanding equal pay

*debating the pros and cons of the strike at the Ford factory in Dagenham

At the end of our topic we reflected on how the role of women has changed and looked at The Equality Act (2010).
